- Fresh Lime juice

- Silver tequila
- Cointreau or any orange liquor

SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS
- Tajin is optional: You can rim your glass with Tajin, kosher salt, sugar, or nothing at all. It’s all totally up to your preference and how much of a spicy twist you are looking for.
- Mango: You can use frozen mango chunks or 4 small mangos cut into cubes. I think fresh mangoes are best, but you can use whichever you prefer.
- Choose your tequila: I prefer using 100% agave Tequila Blanco or silver tequila. Although expensive, Reposado tequila is a delicious addition. Gold tequila can be used too, however it is known for giving hangovers because it blend tequilas and used additives.
- Jalapenos are optional: If you prefer a sweeter cocktail over spicy drinks, leave the jalapeno out. For a higher spice level, keep the seeds in!
- On the Rocks: if you prefer your spicy margarita on the rocks, blend the mango until smooth, them mix all of the drink ingredients in a cocktail shaker and pour over ice.

HOW TO MAKE THIS SPICY MARGARITA
This spicy jalapeño mango margarita is super easy to make. Whip up just a glass or make it for a crowd. Follow the steps below for homemade spicy mango margaritas in just under 5 minutes!
- First, place the mango, lime juice, tequila, and cointreau in a blender.
- Then, blend everything until smooth.
- Add your ice and blend to desired consistency.
- If desired, use a lime wedge to moisten the rims of the glasses and then dip the rims in a small plate of salt or Tajin.
- Finally, pour the mango mixture into the glasses. Garnish with a lime.

- If the mixture is too thick to blend, let it sit and melt for a few minutes.
- Use fresh mangos. For a sweeter, bolder taste, use fresh yellow sweet mangos.

How much tequila should I use?
We recommend using 1 ounce of tequila per person. You can use more or less depending on your preference.
What if I don't have Cointreau?
Cointreau is an orange liqueur that gives a well balanced, smooth taste to the margarita. If you don't have any on hand, you can substitute it with any triple sec, Grand Marnier or simply fresh orange juice would be a good option.
What kind of mango puree should I use?
We recommend using fresh or frozen mango puree for the best flavor. However, you can also use canned mango puree or mango nectar if that's what you have on hand. Another option would be to use mango sorbet for a frozen margarita blend!
Can I make this margarita without the jalapeño?
Yes, you can! If you don't like things too spicy, you can leave out the slices of jalapeño or just add a little bit. You can also add more jalapenos if you like things extra spicy.
What is Tajin?
Tajin is a spicy blend of chili peppers, dehydrated lime juice, and salt. It can be used in many different ways from sprinkling on fresh fruit to using on the rim of your glass for a little kick!
