Full of festive color and flavor, cranberry mimosas are also quick and easy to make. I love a drink that can be made with just a few basic ingredients, and with no extra glassware, shaking or stirring needed.

You can easily make these cranberry mimosas by the glass, or mix up a pitcher and let your guests serve themselves. After all, 'tis the season to be merry!

    What is Champagne?

Champagne is French sparkling wine. It is made from specific variety of grapes that grow in the Champagne region of France. While the term Champagne is often used generically to describe any sparkling wine, it is actually illegal to label a product as such unless it comes from the Champagne region.

What Kind of Champagne is Good for Mimosas?

Brut Champagne is the best bubbly to make mimosas with. Dry Prosecco (an Italian sparkling wine) and Cava are also great choices. Whatever you decide, be sure to choose dry, since you will be adding juice.

    adding champagne to cranberry juice

While traditional mimosas are made using orange juice, this cranberry juice version is perfectly suited for the holiday season. Pomegranate mimosas are also a festive and delicious option.

    Tips for Making Cranberry Mimosas

    • Frozen cranberries will work just fine for this recipe.
    • Orange and cranberry are a festive flavor pairing, but you can change things and use lemon or lime on the rim instead.
    • Make a kid-friendly version by swapping the champagne for soda, seltzer water, or sparking apple cider.

Can you make Cranberry Cocktails ahead of time?

Since these cranberry mimosas are easy to make, I would suggest making them as you drink them. Also, if you make them ahead of time, the champagne or Prosecco will go flat, which isn't the best in my opinion.

Brut Champagne is the best bubbly to make mimosas with. Dry Prosecco or A Cava are also great choices. Whatever you decide, be sure to choose dry since you will be adding juice.
Frozen cranberries will work just fine for this recipe.
Orange and cranberry go together so nicely, but you can change up the flavor by using lemon or lime on the rim as well.
