    I know everyone has pie on their mind, but why not switch it up a bit with this simple Apple Almond Cake!

    With the holidays around the corner, there will be an influx of invitations to holiday parties. On top of shopping, decorating, and making your annual cookies, you now need to worry about bringing something to the 3 parties you rsvp'd yes to this weekend.

    Quick and easy Apple Almond Cake

    Instead of heading to the grocery store to pick up dessert, making this cake. It takes about 15 minutes to put together, will make your house smell amazing, and it is delicious. You'll get bonus points for bringing a homemade dessert! Enjoy!

    Easy Apple Almond Cake
    This one-bowl Apple Almond Cake, is simple and delicious!

    Ingredients
    • 1 and ½ cups sugar
    • 1 cup oil (vegetable or coconut)
    • 3 eggs
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ½ teaspoon almond extract
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 3 cups peeled and chopped apples
    • Frosting-
    • 3 cups powdered sugar
    • ⅓ cup melted butter
    • ½ teaspoon almond extract
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    Instructions
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Spray a 9x13 in baking dish with non stick cooking spray.
    3. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, oil, and eggs and whisk until blended.
    4. Add flour, cinnamon, baking soda, extracts, and salt and stir until combined.
    5. Pour into pan.
    6. Sprinkle batter with chopped apples.
    7. Bake mixture for 35-45 minutes or until a knife is inserted and comes out clean.
    8. Once cooled, cut into 12 squares.
    9. Optional- To make the frosting, combine all frosting ingredients in a bowl and beat until smooth.
    10. Serve a dollop of frosting on each square.
    11. Enjoy!
