- Allow the pork to rest for a full 10 minutes prior to slicing and serving to lock in the juices.
- Cooking this pork tenderloin in a cast iron skillet like this one ensures it turns out nicely browned on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside.
What are the Best Apples to Cook with Pork Tenderloin?
You'll want to select a variety of apple that holds its shape during cooking. Most apples recommended for baking will also work well in this recipe, such as:
- Braeburn
- Cameo
- Cortland
- Gala
- Granny Smith
- Gravenstein
I think that some of the sweeter varieties pair especially well with the saltiness of the pork, so I like to use Honeycrisp or Golden Delicious apples.
