INGREDIENTS

– Unsalted butter softened to room temperature –Powdered sugar – Egg – Pure vanilla extract – All-purpose flour – Baking powder – Kosher salt – Red food coloring – Blue food coloring

Make the sugar cookie dough.

Separate dough into three balls.

Color one dough ball red and one blue using a generous amount of food coloring.

Roll out each dough ball into a large rectangle.

Layer each rectangle on top of each other.

Roll the layers into a log.
