Beer Brownies

  • 20 ounces chocolate chips
  • 2 sticks of butter (16 tablespoons)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 and 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9x13 inch pan with foil or parchment paper then spray generously with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large microwave safe oven, melt butter and chocolate chips for 1 minute.
  3. Stir, then heat for 20 second increments, stirring in-between, until smooth.
  4. Whisk in sugar until fully incorporated, then allow to cool for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly each time.
  6. Stir in beer.
  7. Finally, stir in flour, cocoa, and salt.
  8. Pour into baking pan and bake for 25 minutes, or if you like cakey brownies continue to cook until a knife is inserted and comes out clean (an additional 5-7 minutes).
  9. Cool before serving.
