Whiskey Soaked Cherries

Perfect in cocktails, over ice cream, or just to eat as a treat!

Ingredients
  • 3 ½ cups Bulleit Rye Whiskey
  • ¾ cup granulated white sugar
  • 4 cups fresh sweet bing cherries washed, pitted, and stems removed
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the whiskey and sugar to a simmer over low heat and cook until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool for about 15 minutes.
  3. Pack your cherries into 4 eight ounce jars.
  4. Pour the syrup over the cherries in each jar until it covers the fruit completely.
  5. Tightly cover jars with lids and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
